Info Enjoy my family, grandchildren and friends. Travel a bit with our vintage trailer and boat often on nearby lakes. Play some golf, garden alot and have been restoring a mid-century home on 1/2 an acre in Vancouver. My volunteer activity is the Portland Royal Rosarians. My sisters Jannette and Kathleen are also Rosarians. We do a great deal in the organization and more than just putting on the white suits and straw hats and marching in parades. The Rosarians focus time and money on children in the schools, providing monies for needy kids, field trips and so on. We also are the City of Portland's Official Greeters, so when dignitaries come to town we meet them at the airport. I encourage anyone interested in joining to contact me. We are always looking for new members. Since leaving the school system, I have put pen to paper and found that I get much joy from writing. I am currently writing stories about my childhood racing little race cars called Quarter Midgets. Yes, I know.....a girl? But, three of the Day Girls raced and it was a family thing. Mom and Dad and four girls. We had so much fun. Traveled with our club to other race events in different states. It is my wish to give back to our parents in the form of passing it forward. If there is anything I can share that offers a bit of insight or encouragement to kids and girls in particular. Then I have done what feels like my purpose. Well, that is enough of me.
