11th Annual - Oaks Park Picnic - Classes 1956 and Before

The 2007 Washington High School Alumni picnic (11th Annual) will be held at Oaks Park, Portland, Oregon on July 11th from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The format for this year’s event will be the same as before. Register with your class for name tags as you enter our assigned area, Site #1. There will be an area designated for your class to congregate.

 

The Woody Hite Big Band with vocalist Rebeca Kilgore will provide music of yesterday beginning at 1:00 PM. Norman Leydon will make a guest appearance. A dance floor will be provided. The food drive for the Community Transitional School was a huge success last year. We want to continue with that effort. Please bring a donation of nonperishable food and/or children’s clothing.

We were able to donate about $10,000 in contributions of money, food, clothing and school supplies last year. The school staff was most grateful and expressed their gratitude to each of you. The entire reunion committee is dedicated to supporting these children and we thank you for your generosity and good citizenship.

 

The cost of admission is $10.00 per person. We will provide chicken, hot dogs, snacks, beer, wine, soft drinks, coffee, ice water, lemonade, and desert. We are asking for an added donation to support the cost of the band and our contribution to the school.
