DMD, Robert Y. Farnham, 75 07/22/1934 04/23/2010 Robert Y. Farnham, son of Frank and Eleanor Farnham, died Friday, April 23, 2010, at home surrounded by his family, after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. "Bob" as he was known to family, friends and patients, was born in Calgary, Alberta, and was one of the few that enjoyed dual citizenship. He was a graduate of Washington High School; Lewis & Clark College and the University of Oregon Dental School. After dental school, Bob enlisted in the U.S. Army Dental Corps as a captain and was honorably discharged in 1964. He was a member of the Psi Omega fraternity, Multnomah County Dental Society, Oregon Dental Association, American Dental Association, Western Society of Periodontology, American Prosthodontic Society and the International College of Dentistry. Bob's love of dentistry, golf and family brought him years of enjoyment. He is survived by his wife, Lorna; son, Duane Farnham, and his wife, Michelle; daughter, Teresa Johnson; stepdaughter, Andrea Slaughter; grandchildren, Savannah Arias, Christian Slaughter, Derek Johnson and Sarah (Johnson) Borski. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his first wife, Janet (Schweitzer) Farnham. Friends are invited to a celebration of life at noon, Saturday, May 1, 2010, in Lincoln Memorial Park Funeral Home. A reception will follow at Sayler's Old Country Kitchen.
